The aircraft was unfortunately damaged beyond repair during a storm in Esjberg, Denmark in 1999. Luckily there were no casualties as this happened while parked on the ramp. In 1998 Tulip Air Charter was formed to operate Fokker F27&#8217;s and Airbus A300&#8217;s as a freight operation, wet leasing to the French Post and DHL. By 2000 Tulip Air operated 2 King Air 200&#8217;s, 6 Piper Chieftains and 2 Cessna 172&#8217;s when the company was split in Tulip Air and Farnair Europe due to a management buy-out of Tulip Air. In 2001 a Jetstream and the Cessna 406 were added to the Tulip Air fleet as was a Beechjet under management.
